Hey guys im just looking for you guys opinions on a car i have my eye on. It is an 94 srv prelude with an h22a1 swap done to do it with around 50k.

The body of the car has 250k.
New clutch was done last summer, as well as the water pump, timing belt.

I have not boughten a car with this much kms before so im needing some opinions. Is it worth buying a car with this much kms despite having a swapped engine? I know preludes have pretty good reliability as it is.

Thanks

Honda's are really reliable. Can't go wrong with them as long as the price is right. My brother had a Del Sol with 350k km and it had no problem at all. It didn't have a swapped engine either.

Thought this was InRich...
As far as your post goes, I'd say as long as the swap has a few thousand kms on it already, to get rid of the teething problems, you should be ok.

Can the seller prove the new engine only has 50k?

Yeah the seller can prove the engine only has 50k. The price is really good.

Is it a red lude? My buddy went to go look at it and he said it was smoking pretty bad. I think all H22s will burn oil eventually (it's a honda...) but he told me this one was just horrible.

Yeah it's a red lube, personally have not checked it out yet though.

I see a lot of Lude's with swapped or rebuilt engine/trans and im also wondering about that.

The owner currently uses regular 87 octane as well for atleast a year, I dd my research but im still wondering how much of an affect this has as it's recommended premium and I will be switching to premium.
