Has anybody here used the HASPORT motor mounts to swap a B-series engine in to a 88-91 Civic? If so, how did you find the mouts them self in terms of quality and holding up to constant pressures of accel/decell? and where abouts did you get the best prices on them?

From what all my friends have said they are very good in quality, drop in with the motor easily and holds the pressure very well

Get the new billet mounts.

Do a search on Honda-Tech (http://www.honda-tech.com). You'll find tons of info!

And watch one day everything just fall out while you're driving. There are certain things you can cheap out on. This isn't one of them.

I've done about 90% of the B Series motors into 88-91 Civic/CRX in Calgary. The best mounts out of all companies are the Hasports.

This the order i would rate them.

1.Hasport (old ones) Better postition and not too stiff.
2.Hasport (new ones) Sits higher and more foward and stiffer.
3.Place Racing (don't recommend Too Hard)

There are other mount's out there but they end up to be too soft, too stiff, or not mounted in the right place.

I have the old hasports for sale with axles and shift linkage for $1000 which is cheap.

I used the place racing mounts for my h22 swap into my 96 civic and the quality was great, the fitment was perfect, and the looked very good. I can't say for the b-series mount kits, but for my application they were great.

I also don't recommend these. He's right way to hard.

I haven't had any problems with vibration. I did a full balance and blueprint on my bottom end though and that really smoothed the motor out. Putting a couple of layers of thin floormat rubber between the place racing mounts and the frame rail really helped as well with any vibration. With the clearances on my shock towers and firewall, it was critical that I had a minimum amount of engine movement. For my application the place mounts were perfect.

There is no reason they shouldn't ship to Canada. I had mine shipped to me here. You may have to ship to a business address...they usually won't ship to a residence.:)
