Hey, so i'm getting new carpet on the lower level and i'm suppose to remove the carpet as part of the deal. I'm also suppose to remove the glue around the perimeter about 2'' back from the wall....and its on concrete.
How should i go about doing this? I'm having a hell of a time using a scraper.

I believe they need the 2'' from the wall down to bare concrete so that the tack strips will adhere.

any suggestions would be great, thanks everyone!

Grinder with a wire wheel on it. It should leave a good rough surface to adhere to as well

Product call Poly Strippa.

Pour it and leave it for at least 20-35 minutes (or just read the instructions)

Then the product will make all that glue gummy... you might have to use a couple of passes before it totally clears up.

Just make sure you don't ask your mom to pick it up, and then she might need to google to see what a poly stripper is... this shows up on 1st page.
