After watching this video, I love Dave Grohl even more. The last real rock band!

Their new album, Wasting Light, is out now.

This video kinda defines for me why the Foo Fighters kick ass, they go just as hard playing in a garage as if they were playing a sold-out stadium.

Seeing them in a month, stoked!

I was at a tech conference (Dreamforce) a few years ago, and Foo Fighters played a private show there, which was pretty damn cool. Made my way to the front with a DSLR and got some wicked pics haha.

Not a huge fan of their 'stadium rock' sound, but playing a garage is definitely the coolest thing to do as a rockstar!

Obviously Grohl can kill it regardless of the venue.

Playing in his garage was the prize of a Blackberry contest. I'm sure this was an expensive promotion.

Still... lucky bastard!

This story made me an instant fan of Dave Grohl, heard about it awhile ago. A mine collapsed in Australia and they could get stuff down to a couple of trapped miners who asked for an ipod with foo fighters tracks on it.

When Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters heard of the miners' request to have the band's music sent down on MP3 players, he issued a personal message via fax to them indicating he would meet them for a beer. [33] Grohl's note read, in part, "Though I'm halfway around the world right now, my heart is with you both, and I want you to know that when you come home, there's two tickets to any Foos show, anywhere, and two cold beers waiting for yous. Deal?" In October 2006, one of the miners took up his offer, joining Grohl for a drink after the Foo Fighters acoustic concert at the Sydney Opera House. Since then, Foo Fighters have written an instrumental tribute song called "Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners" appearing on the album Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.

Super class act.
