Anyone try this yet? I hear most people won't even last 15-20 seconds with it.

I'm going to pick it up. Should be great for developing grip strength.

All part of the get strong 2011 program lol

Battle ropes are pretty tough (for me at least) but they are a great work out, plus fairly versatile. Working in 20-30 seconds of them between sets really burns!

Have you mastered pull-ups, dips and push-ups? If you can do over 30 pull-ups, over 30 dips and over 40 push-ups, then move to the rope. Unless of course you have a large open basement that you are looking to fill...

The rope is a killer workout and mainly the deltoids are the first burners. Make sure with your weekly deltoid routine you finish with a max weight set of 4-6 reps for seated press. Ive added 40lbs to my weight set for presses in the last 10 weeks of doing that.

With all that being said do a 4-6 max weight set for every muscle group. My sets are 15,10,8,6 and Ive noticed big results.

haha alright.

I live in an infill so I have a really long basement which is perfect for this.

We shall see how well my fitness goes with the combination of prowler+battling rope as assistance work.

Maybe squat 3 plates by the end of this year? :D

Got it and tried it out and I have to say it is an awesome investment. The battling rope is quite grueling and those guys in the videos make it look way too easy. If you do it with little rest it in between it will just wreck you.

I ordered it from Bells of Steels and it arrived 2 days later.
