Just looking for some thoughts on going between a 2011 Infinity M37 AWD or a Lexus IS 350 AWD?

Thinking to get 2011 also for Lexus?

the new m37 is ugly! looks like one of those shitty crossover things... but are the m37 and is350 in the same class? i would think it would be m37 vs gs/ls and g37 vs is350?

Yes 2011 for both and its around $5000 more for the M37, I only did a quick price sheet. I personally think the M37 is a bit more in the class range as the IS 350. It's up for interpretation :)

That's true. I think M37s are on same class of gs/ls for lexus.

The m37 is slightly bigger and has more power. I guess it depends on what you are looking for.

Go to autonet.ca, they have good tool I found to compare the cars in terms of their specifications.

That is a great website for car comparison. Thanks

I thought the M37 was larger as well but its actually shorter than the IS 350. I guess it is just a bit bulkier, the IS looks sportier.

Thought I would run it by the Beyonders, its for my pops anyways.

haven't really been in a new m37 but i do think they look pretty cool on the outside. having said that tho personally i'd go for the a g37 over an m37 because i think it'd be a better drivers car. and you could get a AWD coupe

as for the IS, i sat in a 2009 and it just felt very cramped in the driver seat. Dunno if thats changed in the 2011 model tho.

also have u considered a 335? lil more expensive but i love mine

M is good if you want a nice, comfortable ride.

I wouldn't waste money on awd. I'd go for the Lexus but as others have said, I've always found the IS too cramped inside.

If you're willing to spend that much on an Infiniti, I'd switch over to a 335. The M and IS are quite different from the IS, what are you looking for? I think those are strange models to choose between because they're different classes.

i personally have never liked lexus, i feel toyota doesnt put more into them compared to an honda/acura, or nis/ifiniti. but thats my opinion.

i think the M37 interior is far more superior and more "executive" than any lexus.

considering the M37 is infinitis top model sedan and starts at 52,400, its lexus competitor coming in at that price would be the GS series starting at 54,650. i myself would take an infiniti. ps, lexus is over rated.

I have to agree with other that have chosen the M, I absolutely love their interior styling. The 335i however is a good contender, but imo the interior still isn't as nice as it should be.

Of the choices mentioned by the OP, I would take the Lexus over the Infinity.... although I'd take an Audi over the both of them.

I think they still failing on the 1st batch of N55. Wondering if they got better for the deliveries in that last few months.

Problem with that is the RWD model is $6k more than AWD one as you have to get the loaded RWD since less and less people are buying RWD cars. Infiniti discontinued RWD in the G37 all together so RWD sedans in this class are soon going to be very rare and probably custom order only.

That being said I'd go with Lexus. Take a look at the leather inside of an older lexus vs an older Infiniti and it's clear which car has higher quality and why it's more money (same class cars).

They still offer the RWD G37 in the US. That is pretty subjective interior-wise though, the newer infiniti interiors have gotten much nicer than the ones from a few years ago with better materials and layouts.

I respectfully disagree. I have had 2 Maximas and had friends with ls,gs,rx lexus models comment on how much better my leather stood up. Just to qualify that I didn't use conditioner more than maybe once a year

When it comes to Nissan interior, you have to pick the years.

Pre 2001, they were great.

2002-2007, they are piss poor. Worst in class.

2008 and up, they are no Lexus but at least acceptable.

Oh yeah? Does Nissan use blowtorches to test their leather? :nut:

Anyone that says Infinity is higher quality than Lexus is smoking crack. Lexus is the only Japanese company that can approach the Germans in quality.
