Cleaning helmets?

Has anyone got any tricks for cleaning inside of a full face helmet without removable liners?

I've heard everything from shampoo + washing it in the shower, to throwing it in a dishwasher :rofl:

if your helmet is that dirty inside then its prob time for a new one.

Once or twice a year I take it in the shower and get a good amount of shampoo in my hair, and put the helmet on. Takes a while to dry though.

that's the weirdest thing I've ever heard...lol.
but in all honesty I've never contemplated the cleaning of a helmet :S

It just starts smelling like a gym bag under there after a season. I'll see if Helmet Fresh does any good.

shampoo in the shower... works great. Pull the liner inside out and let it dry.
