Driving on winter tires all year long a bad idea? Or is it ok? :dunno:

Winter tires wear down much faster than all seasons/summer tires during the warmer months. If you don't mind replacing your tires sooner rather than later it's probably no big deal. If replacing your tires more often than you need to doesn't sound appealing, well, switch 'em out!

different tread compound, wears down much faster than summers or all seasons. also becuase of the different compounds, you will have much different characteristics in terms of performance and handling. both will be shit. winter rubber unless you went with high end high performance are usually rated speed wise as an "s" tire with a top speed of 160.

the only time i would keep them on all year is if i lived in the north pole, or your winters are so worn down that they may as well be all seasons, which means next winter you buy a new pair.

I did it with brand new winters, and the next winter they had to be replaced
