Spotted: Ford Rs200!?!!?!?!

Saw lots of nice cars out today: Ferrari 512, Ford GT, Murciélago... and a white fucking RS200. He was going east on Glenmore around Crowchild Tr about 9:00am today.

I didn't know there were RS200's in North America... never mind Calgary.

Yah. Didn't know there were rules. Couldn't get the phone out in time. It was white with PIAA lights and something big and shiny mounted on the dash. Figured someone here would know the guy.

He was telling me about it last week, one of 87 made, his is an EVO model - one of the last built - all in white, but never decalled for rally.

He says it is so fast is makes his F40 feel slow.

It will show up for some track days soon.

ALSO, Blur the licence plate of the vehicle you spotted, as in most cases I am sure they did not give you permission to take the photo in the first place. This provides a bit of courtesy and respect.

All Spotted threads NOW MUST CONTAIN a usable identifiable photo. Camera Phone photos STRONGLY discouraged.
October 2007 Edit: Moreover, in all honestly, who REALLY cares if you saw a Lambo/Ferrari/etc etc etc. We can all take 2.4 seconds and go to Google images and type it in for that rare occasion we have no idea what a Gallardo looks like. As far as I'm concerned, the only spotted thread I'd like to see is if you've got professional level photos of a highly modified exotic, or a massive group of them.

Of the 144 RS200s that left the factory only about 90 cars are thought to exists, and very few in standard 250bhp specification. 90 cars were road cars, 29 were rally cars, 24 were of evolution spec, and one was a special IMSA GTO version. A large proportion of the cars were left hand drive (92 in total). 67 cars were sold to British buyers, 26 to the USA, 9 to Germany, 2 to Canada, 2 or 3 to each EEC country, 12 to Japan, 1 to Jordan and 1 to Gutamala.

If you're lucky to see an RS 200 up for sale expect to pay £25,000 (standard 250 bhp) to £100,000 (for a genuine Evolution model with 550 bhp Brian Hart tuned motor). If you see one for sale and have the money spare (you know how it is ;-) then why not buy one, they don't make them like that anymore.

Shiet. I saw one of these in Tokyo (Shinjuku) last year. I was actually standing by it for the longest time while waiting for my friend outside of a store. I didn't know they were that rare, or else I would have taken a pic.
