Looking to get something better on gas since I drive alot for work. Also looking for it to have at least a bit of power... (no toyota prius etc). What are some recommended cars what would meet this?

OP, Maybe you should make a mega-thread and put all your car/4x4/bike thoughts into it?

If i knew how to combine them. By a car with power I didn't mean a 1.5 liter civic. Something with 200+

but with a GTI, you're going to end up forking out way more cash in repair bills than you'll be saving in gas.

Buy a pontiac G6 with the 3.5 V6. They are cheap, good on gas (50L will get you 500-550km of city driving depending on how heavy your foot is) and they have a decent amount of power.

OP how can you change your mind about what kind of car you want every week?

Sit down do some homework find out what you can afford (15-17K is what I gather from your last thread) and what features are important to you doors, power, cylinders, country of origin, fuel economy........ and then ask a legit question :nut:

It is true that Corvettes actually offer reasonable gas mileage if you don't punch it. Hell - they cruise in 6th on the highway at almost idle RPM...

Decent power, probably 4-6 cylinder. Cobalt would fit the catagory if there was some.

If you're not going to give a useful answer, just don't post. If I wanted a bus pass, I would have asked you where to get one.

At least some of the replies have been useful, like the g5, g6, cobalt, civic si, forte, etc.

With those in mind you need to ask yourself

Power
175HP, 200HP, 300HP?

Doors
2 or 4

Firm Budget

From there on you can start narrowing it down

Dude, get a Kia Rio. May not have 200hp, but it sure looks exactly like an STi/fast. You'll fool everyone. Bonus: Amazing fuel economy.
