Lonestar has better stocks and cheaper services. When I was shopping, Hyatt quoted me about $350-400 for the first service, where as LoneStar said it was only about 200-250.

I got mine from Lonestar last summer cuz they had what I want on the lot, cheaper services. Plus they were able to give me prices on the 2011, where as Hyatt wouldn't even quote me for 2011 prices.

I got about 4.5K off a GLK350 with premium package, xenon light, keyless go and panoramic sunroof.

WHAT?!

$4500 OFF>?!

How did you do that lol

Lonestar has a palladium silver, keyless go, AMG sport package and premium package in stock. Looks hot.

$800 rebate from Benz.

Other than that, not much room to move. :dunno:

Sort of agree with Ry .. GLK .. too gay .. (if for your mom/wife/gf that is ok)

I say go for X1! look way nicer then GLK and X3, still german built, and somehow .. good value!

If you are willing to spend more, want a bigger/better SUV, and willing to wait 6 - 8 month, order the new Cayenne! :D

You think the GLK is gay and a X3 or X1 isn't?

I don't think the new X3 is gay, the old one, definitely.

I was wondering why you would be been in a GLK.

I understand Asian and Ben-see. Should put them in a S-Class.

But check out the X1, it's quite nice as well and not that much smaller. And I like it more than X3 for some reason.

I'm trying to stay low key. No Ben-see or Bo-Ma for me:rofl:

Looking at a few other options. RDX/Ralliart/Forester XT/Tribeca lol

I hope there isn't a Cantonese name for Audi because I don't think that will sound too good.

My parents have always called it "awe dee," direct translation of dropping a deuce.

The Q5 I find is a better build than both ben-see and bo-ma counterparts, but looks wise just doesn't do it for me.

aiya sam their tribeca > glk, i think x3 is a better purchase though. though the q5 looks really hot, dont know their reliability though

Grats to your parents.

Funny thing is, my parents are considering the GLK as well haha. Mind me asking how much everything came out to be and how much you guys were able to get off?

benyl

I would get one if it wasn't so ugly and it came with a 6.2L or 5.5L TT. haha

^ ML63?

benyl
05-18-2011, 09:25 AM
Yeah, toyed with the idea but there is a new ML coming in 2012.

Wife thinks the ML looks like a minivan.

The X3 3.5i is winning the race at the moment.

The black X3 in this thread totally changed my thoughts on the X3, it looks amazing!

Yea the X3 has really grown up. It looks good.

Hey Benyl, rich housewives need the most powerful SUV around. You know, to match the bling of her ring. Every time I see X5M or ML63 or Cayenne S, it's almost always some hot woman driving it. :D

I don't know what you guys are talking about...

I like the Mercedes "Subaru" GLK.

Perhaps I just like the sharper lines and the less "Asian businessman" look of the rounder MB models.

I could see myself owning one, strapping a kayak to the roof and going camping.

Sounds like sarcasm but I actually like the look of the GLK and the MB lineup as a whole, and I may be kind of a Benz fanboy but mid 90's to early 00's I thought MB had a lot of ugly cars, don't feel that way anymore.

I like the look of the X3 too. Anyone priced them out? X1 is not much less the the X3 ? I think I am gonna go for a test drive at BMW Mini.

Are the new X3's still substantially smaller than the last gen X5?

X1 is the size of old X3. X3 is now almost as big as X5.

Wow, X1 starts @ $38 and X3 starts $ $42.

X3 sounds like great value.

More standard features in an x3 28i as well compared to the x1. I drive and power seats are standard on the x3, it's an option on an x1. With that being said the new turbo 4 in the x1 is a nice engine.

the rents just purchased a black on black glk350 yesterday. Pickup this week, going to have to give it a good comparison to a friends X3. hopefully they made a good choice, I was a big fan of the X3 35i

The GLK is good for people who want to own a Ben-Zee. But bad for people like me who are used to BMWs.

The wife has a GLK, and I don't like it that much. My biggest complaint is the lack of steering feel, and how it doesn't return to center fast enough when finishing a slow turn.

Other issues:

Chrome trim on the sides, and chrome badging is discolored and all hazy. The GLK is only 6 months old.
Backseat headrests are awkwardly permanently tilted forward, and don't tilt forward or backwards. Only up/down.
Front seats have memory, but is not saved to the key. So when a different driver with a different key gets in, they have to manually hold the memory key # to adjust the seats to their setting.
Gearbox is really slow and slushy.
Can't reach the gear shifter if you put cups/drinks in the cup holder.
Auto climate sucks in winter, and always fogged up the interior glass.
Climate controls are awkwardly placed too low in the center console behind the gear shifter.

Once this lease is up, I'm gonna jump back to a BMW. Had to lease the GLK, because the new X3 wasn't out yet when I unexpectedly sold the previous X3. I wish I waited the extra 2 months for the new X3.

For those of you who have the GLK350 (non tech package) I was wondering how the heck you plug your ipod in? Ive been told that a convenient plug-in or auxiliary option is there(glove box?)? My parents didn't translate the sales guys words very well. I'm aware that a 12V socket is inside the glove box if you want to use the Monster radio transmitter (but personally the static annoys the shit out of me)

Any insight is greatly appreciated as I'm going on a bit of a road trip and curious if I should swing by futureshop to pick up a dual aux cable or if I need to purchase something specific.

Aux is in the glove box as well :)

Reviving an old thread as I am looking for a GLK for my parents. What kind of deals can I expect to get? Any salesman better to deal with at Lonestar than the others?
