Series or Parallel ??

Speaker Impedance confuses the hell out of me. I have two KICKER L5 Solobarics, Dual 2 Ohm Voice Coils. I have an Alpine MRD-M1000 2 Ohm Mono Amplifier. Can someone tell me how to wire these woofers? I want to make certain that I'm getting the most from my system by running a 2 Ohm load and not 4 Ohms. Thanks guys.

run the voicecoils on each sub in series giving you 4ohm on each sub and from there run the two subs in parallel to the amp giving overall resistance of 2ohm.
