Just as the title states, I would like to see what most people listen to when the have the radio on, the one that you hear the most or are surrounded with the most (ie work)

AMP because of no commercials. Vibe sucks after the name change. :thumbsdow

Where's the option for "I own an ipod"?

If I MUST listen to the radio, then amp /vibe I guess.

What the hell? No 90.0 university station? Not that all the shows are great but its the best radio in town by far. No repeats for a month!

LOL, the top five radio stations I listen to aren't even on your list. go figure.

EDIT:

ok i just read the other replies, seems this isn't that uncommon after all.

I only listen to the radio whilst driving, and here's my top 5 stations:

1) CBC (99.1 i think)
2) 660
3) 93.7
4) 90.9
5) 770

I don't listen to X92.9 anymore. They used to play old school Silverchair, Tool, Soundgarden and other good music. They don't really anymore.

i can tolerate 10-20min drive of X92.9 in the morning drive just so that i can hear news or traffic updates.
then ipod driving back home.
lite96 at night driving the gf home

haha yea an ipod interface was the single best investment i made car audio wise.

I usually listen an even split to: amp, vibe and cool while in the car.

but when I used to listen to the radio all day at work it was 92.9, I found it to be the least repetitive. Never knew how bad some radio stations replayed songs until I worked a shipping job!!

i find that xl 103 is perfect for my music liking. I bounce between there and q 107. Then again I like music that was made before 1990.

Friday nights are the best. And I always Listen to Democracy Now if I'm in the car when it is on.

I sorta listen to CJAY... until Nickleback comes on (which is usually pretty frequent), then I turn it to static. I hate Nickleback that much.

I find 107.9 to be a really good station too. Plays everything I like. Almost as if it's all straight from my own collection.

I try and avoid the radio at all cost. It is the same bland, repetitive crap being played over and over again. If I have to listen, it is either 90.9 or 92.9.

Yeah, this was revealed a while back.

X92.9 for the show in the morning, for when the iPod's dead, and for when I need to hear some RATM since they sort of overdue it. However, they do play good remixes on Friday nights. A MSTRKRFT remix of a metric song? i'm down

I followed Bruce Kenyon from Q107 to AM770 and was quite happy to find a pretty good talk radio station. Terry Dimonte has got to be the world's most boringest man.

However, I don't like Angela Kokott who replaced Mike Blanchard on the drive home. So instead I just flip through Amp, CJ, X, XL, Jack, and Q107 hoping for something decent...

They just had a Tool On Demand Weekend two weekends ago where most of the songs were Tool. I believe it was Red Hot Chilli Peppers last weekend.

They still play Silverchair, Soundgarden but I mainly hear it on 90s at 9, where they play all 90s songs at 9am and 9pm for an hour.

x929 is great for Carly and Greg B Harrel! I think they are so funny.

And you got to love their No Nickleback gurantee, though I do like their first Album, The State, before they went all big with their next album.

Other.

660 and 770.

Although the amount of commercials on 770 is ludicrous.

Typical Rutherford line, "back with more of your calls". This is followed by a ton of commercials, then "Sorry, no more time for calls".

Same here. But I bounce around. In the morning it's 660...then onto the Fan960..then onto some music. 103...the Q...Jack...even a bit of 101.5.

At the jobsite, its the ipod.

My thoughts exactly. When it was Bruce, Sue Diel and young Steven on the Q, that team was hilarious. When they brought in that idiot Terry from back east, I stopped listening to the Q in the morning completely.

My go-to is CKUA. 93.7 FM baby. Commercial radio is bunk.

Although out of your list, I picked The Eagle, which is where I dial over to if I get caught in some kind of endless fusion jazz loop on CKUA.

Yea 90.9 CJSW ?

Even some of the weird talk programs on their are more insightful and interesting than the crap mainstream stuff that is on cycle on the bigger stations.

I stream this at work in EDMONTON. Love how one moment its Lady Gaga's newest hit and then song after is a classic Michael Jackson song.

Depends on the day
In the mornings it's either
90.3, 101.5 or 960

driving home it's 90.3

If i'm out saturday night it's 101.5

any other time it's a toss up between amp and kool

The only local station I listen to is 770.. I do not care for kokott much either, Blanchard was MUCH more entertaining and got more meat out of a topic than kokott does. Basically when Kokott is on now, I listen to my satellite radio.. And the Kenyan/Rutherford interaction is priceless..
I use to listen to 960 a bit with Mike Richards, but its a bit of a desolate wasteland now unless you want to listen to hours of pointless sports cliche's.
