So I bought some EBC rotors/pads and they say to remove the anti corrosion coating on it.

Normally I would just throw them on and wear it off but the cost and time it took to get these in canada makes me not want to take chances.

Its not the normally oily coating they usually put on rotors its more like a varnish and is very hard.

I tried some brake-kleen I had lying around that didnt do anything.

EBC recommends Meths or White spirits(british terms) I'm guessing there talking about methyle hydrate and mineral spirits?

Whats the best place to get a consumer size of these products or does someone have any good products for removing this crap?

would xylene or tolulene work and not leave any residue? since they can be easily had from any paint store.

You can obtain either of those products at peavy-mart I think. You can also obtain methyl hydrate at a paint store (General Paint, Cloverdale, etc.). I have seen mineral spirits at autobody supply stores as well.
