I had this guy look over a Tag huer for me after it stopped working, and it turned out to be a really good fake, he was even able to find the distributor for parts.

He deals with lots of automatic time pieces, so he knows what to look for.

It's also a hideous watch...most 150$ fossil watches look better than that.

The real LV Tambour looks better. The fake looks the way it does because the movement is vastly different than the real one.

Kinda interesting that the fake is a limited edition (000/277) when the real one isn't.

Who actually makes the watches for LV? I bought a real Tambour years ago and the strap disintegrated on me. Not really impressed on their quality. Perhaps LV makes the strap and someone else handles the hardware?

Technically speaking, LV watches are made by LV. They are designed in Paris. Since the LV group owns TAG Heuer, Hublot, and Zenith, their technical expertise is used to turn the Paris designs into production. The manufaturing is done at shared facilities in Switzerland (shared with TAG and Zenith, Hublot for now is very separate and not integrated).

Turns out that buddy all of a sudden doesn't want to get it authenticated, funny how that works. Be careful when talking to someone about a red and black Tag Formula 1, he will only get it authenticated at people's on 64th, I wonder why that is lol.
