Getting excited for this one. Wife and i will land in Montreal a week from today. I have grandstand passes for 3 days, and intend to take a few thousand pics. :poosie:

I'll be there with a couple buddies! 3 day pass as well. approx $1100 for flight and passes (didnt get the best deal on plane tickets). We should have a beyond meet in Montreal! haha. I arrive Thursday morning.

That's kind of funny... I think somebody is selling a 3 day indy pass + blah blah blah for $1100 on Beyond or 780. I think the Grand Prix would be a lot better to watch?

i have been many times, plan on 6-700 for flight, 500 for ticket and 500/night hotel (for a shitty one). Not cheap but man is it fun!

We got a package deal with race tickets and all for just shy of $4000. The hotel we are staying at is $350 a night.. I think the hotel owners know that there is an event going on that weekend or something.....:dunno: Inflate prices much??

I posted it earlier in the year, but i thought i would mention it again. This trip was a Xmas gift from my wife.

Compare your wives to mine and then kill yourself.

Just planned a last minute trip this weekend since my buddy is out there for work which means free accommodations. Spent 500 on my flight which was a nice surprise and scored some 3day passes in Grandstand 34 (the hairpin) for 180 each on ebay.

So so far my total is at about 700 bucks the plan is to get the whole trip done for under 1000 dollars. Will see how the night life treats me I might be dreaming with only 300 for spending cash for the weekend.

I am banking on $500 a day for spending cash, souveniers, meals, and getting piss drunk.

Hotel can be done cheaper. We are staying in the McGill New Residence Hall which used to be a hotel for $140/night. Its a relatively good location too!

Since McNish gave Hamilton 2 penalties 2 weeks ago, does he get one for causing an avoidable accident?

no, but Hamilton definitely caused one with Button just now.

Fucking brutal. Cheering for McLaren this year is like cheering for the Flames.

Both incidents look like Hamilton's fault right now. Webber vs Hamilton, and Button vs Hamilton.

Just rewatched a replay. Button's fault on Button vs Hamilton. Just drives him into the pit wall. WTF haha. Button's line wasn't the normal line, in fact, a few laps later, he used the same line as Hamilton to pass a slower car.

That went from the worst race to the best race of the year. I forgive Button for taking out Hamilton. McLaren FTW!

Yeah, too bad Button is still under investigation. I'd be surprised if Vettel didn't walk away with the win

Button and Hamilton will probably have to talk to the stewards together, which means that Hamilton is currently being coached on exactly what to say.

"Yes sir it was my fault, I knew it was dangerous and when I saw Jenson moving in I could have braked but didn't. Totally my fault, sir"

Best race I have ever seen! Button kicks ass! Anyone count how many cars he passed through the whole race? must have been at least 30 passes!

No penalties for Button, hallelujah!

Great race! A good drive from Button.

DRIVER STANDINGS
01 Sebastian Vettel 161
02 Jenson Button 101
03 Mark Webber 94
04 Lewis Hamilton 85
05 Fernando Alonso 69
06 Felipe Massa 32
07 Vitaly Petrov 31
08 Nick Heidfeld 29
09 Michael Schumacher 26
10 Nico Rosberg 26
11 Kamui Kobayashi 25
12 Adrian Sutil 8

Some comments on this season:

Lewis seems to find ways to get himself into trouble. Although not always completely his fault he seems to end up in situations where things can go wrong.

Webber always comes through with an impressive drive and a good finish after having lousy starts.

Button is really giving Hamilton a run for his money. Two #1 drivers? If Button is ahead in points how long before he starts getting the teams A stuff and Hamilton doing development for the rest of the season?

Ferarri looked like they were improving this season. Looked like both Alonso and Massa could challenge for the podium. Alonso's shunt kills any slim chance of championship cotention he may have had. Time to go for broke and go for race wins now. Is Massa done at Ferarri?

Schumi still drives the way he always had.

Renault looks like they have decent pace but dont have the drivers to get the most out of the cars.

How they hell do you fall twice?? Hahah, fat ass french man. Great race, too bad Vettel couldnt hold it in the end. Would have been nice to see Shumi on pole for once. I thought his wife split up with him cause he wanted to race again though?

Once she figured out how much he's making in Salary for his Mercedes contract, she's decided to wait till after the contract is over before filing for separation to get 50% of that paycheck too.

Well, I can't wait to post some pics and video. I was in front if turn 7 where vettel made his big mistake. The whole grandstand went wild.

Will post pics later in the week. Just killing time in the ottawa airport. Flight delays ...... Thanx air Canada strikes. Was a good grand prix weekend though. Was a bit cold and wet in Sunday, but very fun.

Now before the photography critics arrive... go fuck yourselves. It was cold, I was soaking wet and shivering, and I am not very good at taking pics of cars going that fast.
