Vehicle Details
Year : 1999
Make and Model : Honda Civic SiR (EM1)
Exterior Color : Milano Red
Interior Color : Dark Grey
Auto or Manual? : Manual (5-speed)
Odometer Reading : 199,850
Location of Vehicle : Calgary, AB
Description :
You will not find another EM1 SiR so tastefully modified, set-up, and cared for. This is a rare specimen of an increasingly rare vehicle. Few remain that have not been raced, wrecked, stolen, thrashed, or murdered and fitted with lambo doors. If you look at these photos (http://flic.kr/s/aHsjv5GTAu) and get nostalgic, now is your chance to find out what happens when VTEC kicks in (yo).
The stock B16A2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_B_engine#B16A2) has not been modified. It was given a full tune-up last year, and the timing belt was done at 160,000km. It runs smoothly all the way up to the 8,450RPM fuel cutoff.
The car has been upgraded to balance performance, handling, and drivability as follows:
- H&R Sport Springs (~1-inch lower than OEM)
- Koni Yellow Shocks (the best)
- mFactory 19mm Rear Sway Bar and Subframe Brace
- Bronze Konig Helium 15" Aluminum Wheels (11kg each)
- mFactory short-shifter with weighted aluminum shift knob
Inside, the interior is clean, and undamaged aside from light wear and tear. A Premier DEH-790BT (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/CD-Receivers/DEH-P790BT) head unit powers the original six-speaker system. It has a cable for your iPod and Bluetooth for wireless audio from your iPhone (which I use every day). You can also plug in the mic (included) to do handsfree calls.
In addition to the above, the buyer will also receive the following extras:
- 4 winter tires on 15" steel wheels. The tires are Gislaved Nordfrost 5, with studs. They have been used two winters, and probably have two left.
- 4 OEM mudflaps
- "The Club"
- Stock shift knob
- Original accessory kit for the Premier head unit
- Stock head unit
No tire kickers. PM preferred.
