Picked up a new ride to play with.
It has CAI already, going to do headers and exhaust for now, then more interesting stuff later.

Congrats! Power delivery must be way different between the two cars. Are you keeping the RSX?

honestly it's too bad it's got racing stripes. That shit would be hot as hell all white. honestly all white with black rims...

ekguy

on a side not though, an all white driveway is pretty damn awesome.

Revhard
06-11-2011, 11:32 PM
Yeah, keep the Rsx. My Frontier is white too...;) :D
Power delivery is so different, which is funny, because overall, I bet the cars are a close race.

Honestly, you should STFU.

Nice car though. Interested to see what mods you're going to go with.

What "more interesting" stuff did you have in mind?

The all white would look good, but I really dislike the NASCAR look black rims.
The looks of this car will remain unmolested for a long time. Not even tint.
All legal looking on the outside. Got a tint ticket with the Rsx a few weeks ago. They are $115 now.

Sway bars, bushings,etc.
Down the road I might even explore FI.

 on the stripes

My gf has a v6 camaroand god damn it is hard to shoulder check in that car. I've just resorted to speeding up every time I need to lane change haha.

Other than that nice car... those ls3 heads are some of the best flowing factory heads gm has ever made, good for making alot more power!

Bought local. I'm sure US would have been cheaper, but I like to support local as local is what supports me!!!

Yeah, can't wait to get caught up so I can play with my own stuff for a bit.
Had it out to play today, and it gets to 2.4 times triple digits pretty quick.
It may very well be faster than the rsx already, at least up top where you need grunt to overcome the air.
Another 50whp and a few tweaks, and it should be a real blast.

Well, the CAI made a nice difference in sound.
The car put down 304whp/310wtq before the exhaust.
Here are the pics of the exhaust. Sounds really good, need to get the video loaded up.

You bet. Thanks for the kind words. This is not overly loud as the factory quad cats really keep it reasonable. It does sound good though, nice tone, with good bark on the downshift blips!

Wow! WICKED exhaust!

We were on a trip with 8 dudes and had to drive from Nashville to Atlanta to watch the Flames. My friend and I got sent to pick up two rental minivans and came back with 2 Camaros

After driving the V6 Camaro I was really impressed and hope to get to ride in/drive an SS one day.

Needs to be louder

But still sounds awesome

I think the tips are the best part - they make it very unique.

I'll leave the loud stuff to others I know...

I'll get some more video of drive-by's etc. It's so much fun, I have 3000km's on this guy already!!

So, I'm at a loss for picking turbos for this thing. I want to do twins, but just not sure which way I want to go.
Dual gtx2876r's would be great, but will they last?
The smaller borg warner stuff is much cheaper, but I really want to do this right.
I'm looking for 600whp, fast spool, and the smallest frame possible. EFR's have no availability it seems...:(

pfffft, just through a 500cid engine in there and call it a day ... don't do this turbo nonsense :D

the only downside is it'll be years before you see your engine, but hey, whatever, patience is a virtue, right

Got a ride in this machine yesterday. Man that exhaust note is pure bliss. I would buy that car just for the exhaust sound

So, I've been pretty happy with the car overall.
Just really needs more power for this kind of weight.
So, the drawer to fix that is filling up, still need a few things, but I'm not going to start until I have everything I need.
That said, it's going to be fun I think.

Still trying to decide on a boost controller I like both the looks of and the functions. Then just grab some ID850's, and a new pump or two, and I can start.

Lol. Are u nuts? Lol. I know you were joking lol.

We have that in Dereks car running co2. Great In a drag car with a trans break. Lol.

I have awesome boost controllers coming. U can navigate with a thumb wheel. or u can hook up a laptop and plot gear or rpm or time base boost curves. Log boost versus rpm versus afr etc. Pretty spiffy. Nice aluminum case not cheap jdm plastic junk with no english instructions for 2 times the money lol.

We are just dealing with how many I have to order to get my name on them....

Ohh twin turbo! Very nice, what kind of power are you expecting to see?

I'm guessing 540-570whp on 10lbs, but likely run around at lower boost most of the time.
The goal is big midrange, like 600ft/lbs.
These should be quite responsive turbos in this application.
Every chance these turbos might choke a bit at the tippy top, but it's big knuckle dragger. Power from 2500-6000 is the goal.
Strictly street fun.
So funny because my Acura doesn't get exciting until after 5500 really, and when you shift it at 9000 it still feels strong.
Still a 3500rpm powerband though.
I picked up an HKS EVC6 controller already. Seems like a nice piece with the features I want.
Now just injectors, and pump. Then, find time to build it!!
Hoping for a July build, August drive scenario.

Nothing really on this up until now. Been driving the piss out of it though...
New custom turbo cam arrived with all the goodies to get rid of the DOD lifters, new springs, etc.
Just got the new heritage grill also, will post pics when I slap it on.
