In the office for 4 minutes, then I get a call to come downstairs.

Heavy gouges in the plastic of the bumper. Do you think I'll get a new bumper or will insurance just try to get filler and paint? :( I have no luck with this car, first my trunk gets keyed to shit two years ago, now this... :(

Good thing I havn't put the CF diffuser in yet.... I dont get how the fuck he backed into me. The pathway to that rear receiving door is about 15 feet wide...

Edit: Parked in stall pic

what an epic fail!

Is it just paint transfer? Is the bumer pierced at all? If not looks like a simple enough fix just to get fixed up and painted again

My bumper is plastic and it has some good deep gouges. No cracks though.

Thats a very easy job to repair. They will most likely repair it.

Bet the driver feels like crap, especially with 2 cheap Chevy's beside you, he had to go and hit the Benz :)

At least if they repair it the VINs will still match.

The plastic grey "diffuser" is also scratched. not something that can be sanded out or repainted.

Yeah, at least it wasn't a hit and run...

On another note, is it that angle of the pic, or is your car not parked properly in the spot? The ass end of your car seems to be sticking out further than normal. :nut:

I uploaded a pic to show how far into the stall I am. Any farther and my bumper/lip would be bent. Doesn't seem out of place to me? :dunno:

No not at all. I believe the other cars pushed forward more because their bumper clears the parking stone. Obviously you cannot do that.

Why call him a fucker if he stuck around...? Accidents happen, it was quite good of him to do the right thing.

the exact same thing happened to a friend except it was his whole rear quarter plus the bumper, one of those types of trucks too, how they pull out cutting too tight and dont realize the ass end hasn't swung out wide enough, at least the guy stayed, we got the plumbing company's # off the side and spent 15 mins convincing/bitching to the company owner that his 'flawless' driver just did a hit and run, hit and run because the whole right rear wheel lifted off the ground when it hit, how do you not feel that even in a cube van like that?

Don't settle for repair, demand replacement. It was perfect before he hit it and damaged it, replace it and make it perfect like it was before.

+1

take it up the chain of command at your insurance company and fight for replacement. if that doesnt work, get your broker to. Thats why you pay him.

Shitty deal...Such a clean car.

But in this city it's nice to hear that someone stuck around to do the right thing.

Yeah but they usually only stay because it's not coming directly from their pocket :dunno:

Correct me if I'm wrong but the company pays for the truck's insurance?

That sucks, feel bad for you.

That's probably the postal company you wish were on strike.
