FS:iOS 5 Dev Spots

Hey guys, just posting this for a friend of mine.
He's selling spots so that you can upgrade to iOS5 right now as beta. He's asking $4 to register your device to the developer's network.

Keep in mind, as a FYI, I think you need to install beta builds on a Mac.

Confirmed. Beta builds must be installed from a Mac.

Also, once iOS5 is installed, you cannot roll back to iOS4, and it should be noted that the current builds of iOS5 are VERY buggy. None of the iOS developers that I know are willing to install iOS5 on anything other than test devices.

If your iOS device is jailbroken on 4.3.3, you can roll back the software after installing 5.0, but any firmware that gets installed with 5.0 will be left behind, and your device will fail out on a factory restore. You'll either need to use RecBoot to kick it out of recovery mode after it fails, or flash it with an IPSW file that doesn't contain a firmware update.

But I would agree: As a developer, I wouldn't install it on anything other than devices for testing my apps at this point. That said, $4 is pretty cheap.
