Fixing a PS3

Hey so my ps3 will not read blu-rays anymore, but it will still read dvds and ps2 games. I was thinking the lens has died but when I opened the ps3 up and tried putting in a disc, the lens still blinks blue, red, and infrared which means I'm guessing the lens is fine? I don't want to replace the lens and realize its something else. Anyone know wut else could be the problem? Model is CECHE01, 80gb version.

It has been a long time since I replaced my lens on my ps3 but can say they are pretty cheap off ebay and not that difficult to replace there is video tutorials on youtube . When my ps lens died it wouldnt read anything but cant realy comment on what is happening with yours Good luck

Ya i was hoping someone had a similar situation to mine so I wont end up buying it and find it outs something else.
