Dunno if this is real or the one im thinking of. But my sister and her husband's friend owns a white countach some sort of anniversary edition.

Looks identical to this one.

Sweet cars. Loud as fuck.

Yeah, my co-worker was in his car when he started it up and said it was very loud.

It's not a real one - kit car for sure.

I'm pretty sure that's real. It looks proportionate in almost every aspect.

It looks like it has real wheels and proper bumpers.

My best way of telling is looking at the interior, or looking at the size of the car as a whole.

Can someone explain what makes it easily identifiable as a fake?

You can usually tell by the windshield and "a" pillars, this one looks real to me:dunno: . Very cool spot! In my generation i think it was every kids dream car.

!!!!!!!!!!

I reallllly hope I see this driving around one day. It's real, as EKGuy guessed, it is a 25th Anniversary Edition, the last of the Countach before the Diablo replaced it. For me it's easy to tell whether its a replica or not mainly because this is the car that got me into cars. The wheel's are usually a dead give away, along with cramped proportions, and as someone already mentioned, the interiors on the replica's are a dead give away.

Thanks for posting this!

Then most likely it's the one that's owned by my sister and her husband's friend.

Can't be more than a couple in Calgary really.

It's loud, mint...and amazing if it's the same one.

Guess he paid a decent amount over 100,000$ for it too.

I know there is a red 25th Anniversary in town, I was not aware of a white one though. Personally I have only seen a red, 'lesser' model driving around town

Also, that video posted is of an aftermarket exhaust, and a stock Countach doesn't sound nearly that F1/terrible.

Just sounds throatier and louder stock. Still screams like a banshee when opened up though.

haha nah. It's a hockey parent they've hung out with quite a few times.

I agree as well though. Still one of the, or the nicest lambo out there.

Diablo close second!!!!

I recently downloaded The Cannonball Run just to watch the opening segment with the Countach and I still remember a Lambo 60 Minutes segment from about 30 years ago...

I don't care if it's not as fast as it looks, if it's uncomfortable, or if you have to sit on the door sill to back up.
It's still the ultimate car to me.

The engine cover doesn't look right. Normally they have a big hump in the middle and not two on the sides. Take a look at the calgary lambo in this Testarossa advertisement on Ebay:

However, I was out at a Euro cars meet today and I was told that there was a white one with carbs and not injection so maybe this is it? I guess the way to know for certain is to get a good look at the engine.

hahah, I am currently in europe and after coming upon this thread last night I had to watch the opener to cannonball run, but with super low sound since it was late :(

The tubi exhaust makes this car sound like a high pitch pansy ferrari.

This is what a Countach really sounds like

(and that 60 mins video is awesome)
