I found this like but it pretty much gives no information. http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/imp-mar-eng.html

Boats arent on RIV so thats out of the question.

Has anyone ever imported a boat from the states to canada?
If anyone has or has done research is there a place to go for a defind set of rules? Or if you have what was your experiance like and what is difficult.

Thanks for replys i am going to keep looking on google but it seems like there isnt much info out there.

i found all you need to know here (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=importing+a+boat+to+canada) , the first site listed "pat's boating"

but seriously the CBSA site tells you where to go to get info, a combination of T.C Forms (http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/marinesafety/oep-vesselreg-registration-faqs-2235.htm) would need to be filled out, the fees to be paid upon docking at a federal port (CDN customs/CBSA), no federal duties on north american made boats anymore according to 'pat's boating'. the trailer seems to be a vehicle as well, so you need make manuf of that as well as the boat filled out.

almost like importing a car but a bit more, definitely less than importing an aircraft tho. regular crap like lien check and obvious stuff like bill of sale and ownership title

this is basically the scenario that will play out:
