Well I better make a contribution. These are a couple 600dpi scans of some pictures I took this fall. They don't do my originals justice!

Pics taken with a 35mm Leica M4 chrome body using a beautiful Leitz Wetzler 21mm f1.4 Super-Angulon lens.

I absoloutly love that lens. I also have some shots I took using a late Leitz Tele Elmar 135mm f4 and some with a Leica Noctilux 50mm f/1.0 aka. "Fastest lens in the world" This sucker takes perfect pictures in the dark with no flash :)

I miss that camera. Basically highest quality 35mm rangefinder and lenses ever made. I don't confess to know how to use it very well but we bought a "Leica M System" book and started to learn. I'm sure Mel could have taken much nicer pictures with that camera than we did! :D

Nice pics legendboy. The color is amazing.

Here are so pics that I took today with my new macro lens.

They aren't very cool at all except for the depth of field.

I like the colour balance on this one.

Have any of you guys ever considered shooting with extension tubes for doing close up work? They are about $100 for an AF EOS body... and they get you closer than any macro lens can.

I used flash on that one... I think I pointed the flash back at my head when taking the picture... 550EX rocks.

The reason I decided to go with the 100mm macro was because of it's depth of field. I understand that it is good for portraits. My grandparents are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary this year and I wanted to get some good portraits of them as a gift.

Macro for me is just for fun. As you can see from the pics posted above, my subjects aren't very interesting!

No more lenses for me for a while! I have spend 3x more on lenses than my camera!

Photoshop.

I resize my image (533x800) and dragged it onto another canvas (550x850), then selected Bevel and Embose on tha layer, creates a border. Apparantly there are programs that can automaticy do that for you but I dont care.
