dogmaiwli, that pic is pretty cool but It would have been awesome a few minutes later when the background would be darker and the camera would expose more and give more light on the field. imo.

still nice though.

Ben, that's a great shot of that car.

Nice detail in the moon shots, both of you.

I swear these colors came straight off the camera. ;)

It's a toy boat made out of wood.
My parents made it for me when I was 5.

Those are really nice photos, 86max. My only comment is, while the frames are really cool looking, to me they are bit too busy and almost distract from the real photo.

cool , thanks for the input.....do you recommend i get rid of the stuff around the frame, or just simplify the frame a little?

I don't think it will take much. For example in the photo of the can, I think all it needs is to have the top of the can taken out of the frame. Or the one of the cat, it's simply the dark bars in the upper left that distract the eye.

Just small things like that draw the eye away from the subject.

But keep in mind, these are just my opinions.

:)

Tried to get a picture of the yellow car cause it is the ugliest thing i've seen. To put it short they painted the exhaust tip yellow.

But it focused on the rain..kinda cool

I just got a Canon G5 on Monday, so now I'm finally digital. I love this cam, so cool, so many awesome features. Going to eventually get the other lenses available for it.
I can get kinda artsy-fartsy with taking pics, so bare with me!! :)
Here are a few of my favs that I've taken so far. All of these are using macro mode.

1. I took this pic of a dead dandylion in the middle of the night!! I changed the exposure to 10 seconds to get all that light and used a mini-tripod. awesome eh?
http://www.telusplanet.net/public/ryorion/PICS/june26040006.JPG

2. This is one of a flower from a bouquet that I gave to my wife for our anniversary on Monday (take notes young ones...flowers=action!)
http://www.telusplanet.net/public/ryorion/PICS/june23040001.JPG

3. This is simply just a bowl of Cheerio's. I just thought they might look neat close up, and they do. Notice how the holes are actually triangles!!
http://www.telusplanet.net/public/ryorion/PICS/june2604cheerio.JPG

4. And finally, here's my 1/24 scale EVO VIII.
http://www.telusplanet.net/public/ryorion/PICS/june26040001.JPG

Any advice anyone has about anything, bring it on as i've only had this camera for not even a week yet.
cheers!

Another couple I took the other night when it pissed rain out with lightning.

1. My daughters reflection in a rain soaked window, kinda eery but cool at the same time.
http://www.telusplanet.net/public/ryorion/PICS/Canon_g5/Amanda%20reflection%20june2104.jpg

2. I kept trying to get a bolt of lightning and finally got one. This one is a little on the blurry side since it's through a rainy window, but cool nonetheless.

Man I tried for about an hour to catch a lightning strike. the other night. I always caught the tale end, I would see the first strike and and try to get the tale end of it or hope for another immediate strike. Oh well, I'll have to keep trying through the summer.
