Overpriced?

I'm thinking of buying an Infiniti g35 black coupe from a guy and he has it listed for $22,500. Private sale. Summary of car:

-2004 / 52,000 KM
-300hp / 6 speed manual
-Claims no accidents
-Claims well maintained / good condition
-New "Konig" Race Rims - Black with red highlight, 18"
-Brand New "Hankook EVO v12" summer tires, 18" (Bought 1 month ago)
-1 season used - Falken Euro Winter Tires, 18"
-20" Chrome rims (originally on car)

Does anyone else feel this is quite overpriced or am I out to lunch?

Yes, I have a friend who sold an '04/'05 red G35 that was lowered with rims, I think for even less K and he could only muster 16,500 out of the sale. G35's go for a ton of money right now (as do all sports cars) because people see the nice weather and get anxious and spend way to much cash on it.

Yeah, about 3-4 months ago I was talking to an infiniti dealer and got them to lower a 2006 with 57k on it to $18000 + tax. Reason I didn't buy then was cause I was losing $700 on currency conversion (4 year all time low). I regret it now..

I would say it is a little high. I am selling my 04 for about 20 with about 74k with winter/summer tires on one set of wheels and am figuring I will still get less than that. If you are in kamloops though that might not be a bad deal dependent on what is available there :dunno:

Hes in Vancouver. but your right, theres only one g35 coupe here that has 80k on it. It's 2006 and they lowered it to $19,500 (Volkswagen dealership)

I mean, I don't this guy's car is worth more than $19000. What would you guys offer him with it being listed at $22,500..

edit: your also in Alberta too so I still have to pay 12% tax when I go to insure it. So naturally the cars over there will be listed for more on average

Well with it being in small quantity, I would say about 18.5-19 and see what he thinks. I suppose that would depend on the condition and whatnot as well and what you think of it like the interior and whatnot as I know some of the plastics and whatnot could be worn out and the seats aswell if he wasn't careful. There arn't really any issues to look out for on the 04 anyways.
