Help me choose! 2003 Celica GTS vs 2004 RSX Premium

I am looking to purchase either of these cars in the next 2 days :

2003 Toyota Celica GTS
2004 Acura RSX Premium

Price of the two, after all is said and done, is similar, so it doesn't factor into the decision.

Both are brand new, never driven.

I like the interior of the Celica more, but prefer the back lights of the RSX.

Help me choose!

Hmm, that would be a tough decision for me too but I would probably decide on the RSX Type-S.

Celica GT-S is even more money then RSX-type S .... ( hard to believe how expensive a GT-S is ..but that is the turth .. )

GT-S is like $ 35,500 plus taxes..and even RSX-type S is like $33,000 plus tax....

You better double check .. I saw a used 2002 Celica GT-S in a Toyota Dealership, still ask $28k plus tax.... which is more the premium RSX !

If Celica GT-S vs RSX- type S, then RSX-Type S is a much better deal , nicer interior, more space .. more power.... :)

I had no idea they retailed for that much!

For that kind of bling I would be buying a 2004 Impreza WRX. A car that eats both of them for breakfast right out of the box.

As I recall, a type s 0-60 is like 6.7 seconds, while a wrx is 5.4. Don't quote me on this one though.

From a 60mph roll, I think the RSX-S could at least break even with the WRX, possibly take it. Off the line, the RSX-S doesn't have a chance.

But the upside to the RSX is that it has a 6 year, 90K mile warranty and a 6 speed.

RSX only has 6 year 90Kmile warranty if you want to purchase the extended warranty. The RSX can not beat the WRX in stock form. But the S2000 can, even then you have to launch at 7K to break away from those torquey WRX's.

Me I'd go with the RSX - the Celicas I hear have no bottom end. But who cares what we'd go with, you're the one who will make the payments and be driving it, and you'll have the advantage of test driving both - you're in a better position to decide whats better :tongue:

The White Pearl has a more JDM flavor, but the Arctic blue is just as nice. I'm glad i'm not deciding!

Silver is definitely plain, it just doesn't look good! White is easier to take care of, you notice less rock chips etc.

I kno huh..I really like the white cuz of the look it has in sunlight with it's pearl coat.
Then there is blue...and I've always been fond of metallic blue cars..

When it's time for me to buy one (hopefully soon...with that new insurance legislation coming in...possible dropping the price of insurance a lot )....that'll be the hardest decision for me. :(

I'm confused

0-60mph is 100kms and the WRX is faster
100kms and beyond the WRX is faster

So from what roll is the RSX faster?
Anyway, I've driven both the RSX and WRX and I just don't think the RSX can pull away. I've raced a WRX in my S2000 and that was close up until 100kms, that's when I started to really gain. Those WRX's are torquey machines at those lower RPMs. Just my experiences......

but yes from a roll the rsx-s should get the jump on the wrx..

I've driven a Type S before and I think the interior is really nice for a 30 grand car. But to each their own :thumbsup:

Your right, I've raced my buddies wrx countless times (up to the speed limit) and he pulls about 2 car lengths on me, then at about 100 (third gear) it remains dead even.

Yeah, as mentioned earlier, the WRX has awesome low end power. Top end sucks big time though for a stock car, that's why I never raced max boost S2K from a roll. :rofl:

but the color of the car is up to ur own liking. eitherway, if u r deciding on wat looks better...it'd be the rsx. celicas are only nice
