I just picked up the Nikon D5100 and am learning the ins and outs of photography. I have a LONG way to go before a level of comfort is hit, but for now I will post what I have. Constructive Criticism welcome.

Looking not bad so far!

1, 2, 3, 6, and 8 are way over-cooked for my taste (too much contrast, cyan skies, etc.)

7 is underexposed by probably 0.7 EV (white lambo way brighter than the other two probably threw off your camera's meter).

4, 5, 9, and 10 I like. 9 & 10 especially. 10 could have used a polarizer to remove that reflection, unless you did that intentionally, but IMO it's distracting across the Ferrari emblem.

All just my opinion, of course.

Crisp shots, but imo they take up too much of the frame. Maybe a little bit more fore/background to showcase the scene . Rule of thirds really puts the image into perspective.

Thank you guys. As mentioned, I have a long way to go as I am truly starting from scratch.

All comments are taken well and the link is appreciated. I have started gathering links and printing them for some binder knowledge.

Noob out. ;)

Keep up that attitude and you will be way ahead of most beginners in no time at all.

Is the high contrast due to post process work in photoshop?
Or did the camera actually take them that way?

I think it's obvious some things were edited. I'm not claiming to be anything with these photos. Just having fun learning photography at my own pace editing included. The editing definitely doesn't deter me from actually learning and having excellent Raw shots in due time.

The sun made any photography difficult that night.

I like 5 and 9 a lot, I can't give you any advice as I mainly shoot portraits and still learning myself, but just a tip, polarizer's work well to remove reflection.

EDIT:

Mitsu, already mentioned polarizers.

Good work for a beginner.

I personally don't prefer shots like #3, but to each to their own.

The last pic of the black Ferrari, the paint almost looks like it has been wet sanded and hasn't been polished back up to it's potential. probably just a weird angle.

Keep up the work, you'll have people knocking on your door for photo shoots soon enough! :)

Turn down the PP a little bit, and you're good to go!
Composition is pretty good for a beginner too.

Again, thanks for the CC and good words!
