Here are a couple of little pics of a 2004 M3 we just finished. 19" iForged REV wheels, Brembo Gran Turismo 15" front, 13.6" rear and complete Ground Control suspension. Watch for it ripping around Race City ;)

Huge brakes! Completely fills the entire rim. Would be fun to take on a roadcourse with that car.

Any engine mods? If so, what is the final power output for this M3?

So far no engine mods. It shouldn't need any to run 1:27 laps at Race City ;) FYI, most stock E46 M3s dyno in the 270-280rwhp range on a Dynojet.

Fantastic looking car. Love the wheels -- and the huge brakes are outstanding. Can't wait to see it at Race City this spring/summer. :)

Hey Rob I'm curious if you would know or have seen what a stock E46 M3 would run here at Race City?

Ps- I want those brakes!!!!

Any truth to this regarding the M3 SMG Rob?

BMW’s Easter Egg A hidden feature launches the M3, but faster in Europe. There’s a cheat code in the software running the BMW M3’s sequential manual gearbox.(SMG) : Press the right buttons in the right order and the car will launch you from a stop after revving the engine to 5000 rpm. But don’t look for a how-to in the owners maunual. – this feature is undocumented, an inside joke of sorts. To our knowledge, it’s also the first automotive “Easter Egg”, though -with increasing reliance on computers it would seem just a matter of time before they become standard fare, much like the hidden features in PC games and DVD movies. In the M3’s case, there’s also good reason for it. The SMG transmission is completely electronic, so you can’t rev the engine and drop the clutch for tire smoking accelleration – something the owner of a performance sedan just might want to do occasionally. But theres a catch. In Europe, where the feature is less hush-hush, doing more than 15 launches voids the cars warranty. Laws here prohibit such specifications, so BMW has turned down the wick. The North American spec cars are programmed to wind up to 2500 rpm. (You might be able to get the dealer to install the European programming) For lucky drivers of this car here how: Switch off the stability system and select shift program 6. Switch the engine to sports mode. With the hand shifter in drive, hold it in the downshift position and press the gas pedal. The engine will rev to the programmed rpm and hold. Now release the shifter. The car will launch forward violently and the engine’s revs will climb quickly, so be prepared to upshift. Above all, if your transmission implodes, you didn’t hear it from us.

It is possible to put them cat into "launch mode" but I haven't tried it. Even on an SMG car, when you plant your foot from a stop it will bring up the revs and do a nice little burn-out. I don't know why you'd need/want more wheelspin...unless you about to visit my shop for new tires ;)

Voodoo, are you talking 1/4 mile or lap time?

I am a road course guy, you should know that!!!

Rage might know better, but there have been a couple of E46 M3s run up here. I think they were in the 13.5-13.9 range at around 102-104mph. Not really the M3s forte.

You calling me a bench racer?

There was a E46 M3 6 speed that barely broke into the 13's... ran 14's all night except for a 13.9. In calgary, so about 13.3's at sea level.

Take a look at the brakes on a Cayenne Turbo sometime. Unbelievable how big they are.

Yes, they are very big on the turbo, 350mm front with 6 piston calipers. Too bad it weighs over 5000lbs
