That reminds me. The Friday before last years show I parked on a gravel road by the Airdrie Airport and watched while I ate lunch (takeout). It was awesome because he noticed me and ended up was using my car for target practice. It's a shame I didn't have a camera because he was flying on the F-ing deck!

Saw the Snowbird's fly over Downtown in formation earlier this morning. What a fucking awesome sight to see. :D

I usually goes to Lethbridge but this year I may drop by Abbotsford airshow. They have the F22 demo team, although they are grounded for the moment due to engine issues across the entire F22 line.

it was awesome cuz they flew right over us while walking along macleod this morning. it was definitely the highlight of my day!

Awesome show on Saturday. Thanks for making this thread, otherwise I would have not known there was even an air show, haven't seen any adds anywhere for some reason.

Two fighter gets were definatelly the highlight, the F-16 and CF-18, plus ofcourse the snowbirds. The F-16 came out of nowhere, shocked the shit out of me haha, flew in followed by the crazy boom like 2 seconds later. There was a bird in the sky right above us gliding, so out of joke people started to cheer as if it was part of the show, and then all of the sudden..boom :bigpimp:

What time did the snow birds and the CF18's start flying? Thinking of going out but I can't go out for the whole day. The web site does not have times on it. Says starts @ 1pm but that's it.

Went today, had a blast. Great show. It kinda sucked that the CF-18 had to bug out just as it was starting its demonstration, some technical issue. Other than that, the pyrotechnics were sweet, and the Snow Birds were amazing. :thumbsup:

Was coming back from edmonton and was on the highway at the same time. Idiots were pulling over to the side of the highway and getting out of their cars and watching the airshow.. people rubbernecking while driving.. cars weaving all over the place. Fucking morons. Pay attention to the road!!!!

The Snowbirds practiced in the mornings, every spring, above my highschool. Was usually a welcome disruption during gym class, lol.

I watched it from a friend's place about a km from the airport, what a cool show! Never seen an airshow before, now I'm considering driving out to Lethbridge for the show next weekend. Seeing the pilot stand the CF18 on its tail and head for the stratosphere blew my friggin' mind.

Got a few OK shots of the Snowbirds when they flew over the house, I was using my 400mm but I was too far away from the airport to get decent shots of the other planes.

Saw an A-10 at an airshow in Great Falls... those things are badass.

They explained how they're meant to be almost silent when they're coming right at you and the 30mm shells travel faster than sound so basically you get hit before you ever hear anything... Then they pulled a maneuver where the next strafing run hits you 30 seconds later.

Sends shivers down my spine. :D
