There are quite a few on Western Subaru club, have you checked there yet.

Also here is one in Ed.

to be honest, finding one for 12 will be pretty hard. WSC has a black one in cold lake for that. But most I think you are going to find in that 14-15 range. Everyone wants a WRX so they retain value pretty well.

i tried buying that black one in cold lake but he tells me somebody put a deposit on it and is conditonally sold. I may have to settle for an non turbo and go for an impreza.

I lined up to buy my 02 wrx at a dealership. The first two people went to get money and didn't leave a deposit, and I bought it. The people behind me were pretty dissapoint.

I bought it at a VW dealership, and they couldn't believe the interest in the car.

12000$ and 90,000 kms.

for what it's worth, buy a bugeye and convert the frontend.

They are kinda the same car until the interior update in 2005.

i didn't know you could do a conversion. Wouldn't you have to change the hood, bumper and both fenders? Lots of work involved. I may just wait until i find something that comes up or try to raise my budget a bit.

Bugeye's will be around 9k-12k, whereas an 04+ will be closer to 14-16k.

yes, you'd have to change the fenders headlights and hood, and bumper. Although, if you plan on going carbon fiber hood, changing the front bumper, etc etc, then you could get into a wrx sooner than later....

Is there a reason why you won't consider bug eye? It it just a cosmetic thing? It'll be pretty hard to find a 04+ wrx for less than 12 000. I don't imagine doing the conversion will be that cheap. Don't know if it'll be worth it TBH, unless you hate the bug eye that much.

Here's one from cold lake. A bit far and he's a new member but who knows. Might be worth a shot?

I tried to buy it but guy says it's conditionally sold. It's far too, like 9 hrs from here but would be worth it.

^^yea i knew it was far, but figure if it checked out mechanically, it would be well worth the trip. It's a pretty good deal. The price and mileage was fairly low. Not surprised it's conditionally sold. Oh well... I'm on WSC frequently so I'll keep an eye out.
