It's different seeing someone else as Spiderman. Will be interesting to see how the story line goes, I quite liked the previous 3 movies.

How much did you like seeing Venom get strapped down and ass raped to death in the second one?

So glad they didnt do a new one with Carnage so they could have abortioned his ass as well.

The movies are sick but it should of ended with the 90's version cartoon.

Looks like that fucking fag from the vampire movies. They should have tried harder to appeal to me and not my cousin that wasn't even alive when the first movie came out. Paaaaaaaass.

Yes, that's a question I had. I prefer movies be true to the original comics as opposed to the childhood cartoons so I always wondered if the Marvel comics had Spiderman shooting the web from his wrists or creating the device we saw in the cartoon.

I'm tired of origin stories all the damn time, only movie I didn't mind it in was Batman Begins. We just saw an origin movie less than 10 years ago. I get the "reboot" but I don't need to see how he gets his powers again.

I found Tobey Maguire more appealing as Spider-Man. Peter Parker is supposed to be a nerd, not some emo loner.

When Nick Cage is in this series, it is then and only then we will know it has hit a wall for good. Other than the first SM, the second sucked and I gave up on the series.

This. This doesn't look any different than the last one. Only difference is there's a new actor. At least with batman, the new ones are abit darker and more serious. Not like batman forever with play-dough 2 face.

Couldn't take this guy seriously in the social network for some reason let alone a super hero movie. Plus those roof/jumping scenes reminded me of that xbox 360 game mirrors edge haha

In the comics it was always a webshooter, he could never make his own web

I think the organic web of the original trilogy make more sense even if it's going against original comic.

How does a poor young nerd have the resources and tech to create webshooter?

I actually did like the first 2 Spiderman movies a lot but this reboot is still way too early.

I think hollywood is running out of ideas, instead of coming up with something original they keep on re-releasing rehashed content. Some of the series that have been rebooted were done well. Batman, star trek, x-men were all great. This one looks like its going to blow, like someone said spiderman/parker is supposed to be nerdy, not some kind of emo, social outcast. Personally im looking forward to seeing captain america, at least theres a franchise that hasnt been done to death.

Isn't the point of this reboot in preperation to bring Spiderman into the Avengers series of movies? Just like the remade rebooted The Hulk in preperation for the Avengers.

The 3 previous spiderman movies were quite primitive. The third one was terrible.

403Gemini
05-15-2012, 09:33 AM
I saw the preview for this in Avengers, and the 3D in the preview was terribly annoying. It wasn't an addition to the film, but almost like they tried to sell 3D all over again... I hate movies where they feel it necessary to PUSH the 3D on you instead of making it simply part of the experience. I think the movie who is guilty of this most of all is Resident Evil: Afterlife where ALL action scenes are straight towards the camera.

But then again, villains tends to know who Spidy is all the time and fuck with ones closest to him.

In the previous three movies, I was cheering for the bad guy whenever he had a chance to kill her.

Agree with this,

one of the things that bothered me about the cartoons was how SPIDERman would run out of webbing all the time.

First movie was good, second one was ok, third one was horrible, but imo the suit was right on, and was one of the best things about the movies.

The suit for the upcoming movie looks terribad.

Suit looks similar to "The Sensational Spiderman" comic from back in the day.

I wish they would actually follow the line of Sensational Spiderman with it as well. The whole clone of Peter Parker was a pretty rad storyline.

Still haven't gone to see the movie but definitely will be soon.

Since I wasn't a fan of any of the Spider-Man movies, I actually liked this one and enjoyed it. It was slightly darker in a sense which I liked.

This Spidey was funnier and a little more witty than than Toby McGuire's Spider Man. I also liked the electronic we-shooters and the fact that he trained and practiced how to swing rather than automatically knowing what to do with the webs once he discovered his powers. The web that he weaved in the sewer was also pretty cool.

The story was a little off, but I enjoyed it.

eh it wasn't bad but it wasn't all that good either. The casting is alot better than the previous trilogy and the villian was less cartoon-y which helped it but over all it just felt so rehashed from the previous movies.

Pretty forgettable movie. Still a decent flick to watch while waiting for the Dark Knight :poosie:

FYI The reason they needed to reboot it so fast was because Sony loses the rights to Spiderman if they don't make a movie every 5 years... Losing one of, if not the most valuable movie rights out there would be retarded. This one has already made around $100 Mill over its budget and it will easily double it's massive production budget before it hits dvd.

Just saw the movie. Overall I thought it was decent. I thought the origin story was better and outside of those annoying clips of him skateboarding, I thought him "learning" his powers was well done.

I like Andrew Garfield more then Toby as Peter Parker and Emma Stone is hot as fuck. Overall all of the casting was a lot better then the old trilogy.

They did make him seem less powerful which I kind of liked, but then they made the lizard so strong I had hard time believing that Spiderman had a chance. I also HATED how often he took off his mask.
