AppRadio is a radical new product that goes beyond what you’ve ever hoped for from a car stereo. It’s the first aftermarket in-vehicle radio designed specifically for the iPhone 4 to bring compatible entertainment, navigation and information apps right into the dash of the car. When connected to the iPhone 4, the AppRadio comes to life. Featuring the world’s first automotive aftermarket capacitive touchscreen, the AppRadio interface requires less touch pressure and familiar touch gestures when compared to traditional in-dash touchscreens, just like what you’re familiar with on your iPhone 4. In addition to the familiar and intuitive interface, the AppRadio encourages safe driving by providing access to certain iPhone 4 features and apps formatted specifically for in-vehicle use.

I'm surprised this hasn't got it's own thread yet. I stumbled upon this head unit a couple months ago back when it wasn't released yet.

There was another thread about someone wanting to choose a specific double din and I posted the appradio in there after forgetting about it for a couple months.

Anyone else interested in it? The only downfall is that it looks to be American only right now...the app can't be searched through a canadian itunes account. Maybe the app is on installous or something.

when i first read the tittle and saw the pic i thought this was a bedside radio and thought, cool! but a new head unit? meh... plus most new cars now have integrated stereos and aftermarket head units dont really make sense like they use to

I was reading up on these and they seem pretty cool. You are able to access your applications from your phone for the head unit. So you can access nav apps, netflix, all your music, all that sort of stuff for 399.99 which for a nav deck with video and BT....i wouldnt say that is the worst deal in the world. I saw it in action at a car training and it looked pretty cool.

Despite a lot of semi-negative reviews I ordered one to replace my old stock POS. Hope it turns out well!
