Me & my girlfriend are going into our third year in a weeks time and we want to go somewhere nice and classy for dinner. Price does not matter nor location as long as it's in Calgary or around. Looking for a place that has a very romantic atmosphere!

Thanks ahead for the suggestions :P

When I take a girl to Capo on a date, it's a guarantee that'll I'll be getting laid afterwards.

Metropolitan Grill on 17th, as long as it's not a late weekend night (when it turns into a bar). It's pretty classy; I've been there recently and they even have live jazz on Thursday nights. Can't beat live music for romantic!

That sucks Catch isn't available, it's definitely one of my favourite places to dine. I find Murrieta's is quite nice as well.
I've been wanting to try Jacqueline Suzanne's and intend to soon. Teatro isn't bad, but I think it used to be much better. The quality of food and service has gone down, I find.

I agree. Been there a few times over the last little bit - it's good but nothing spectacular. Although, last time I went the service was great but the food still wasn't what it used to be.

My favourite in the city still has to be Muse but I haven't been there for a while. Definitely a romantic spot though.

No offense to A790, while the food and service is great, I would not take a date there. It's like eating at grandma's house, where romance is the last thing on your mind afterwards haha.

I can see how the girls think like that if they are use to the surroundings of Sukiyaki house, Capo etc. the more upscale/modern look :D

The girls i took thought it was cute and whatever, something different from the regular modern lounge and shit.. i prefer modern places myself, and to be getting drunk.. but this place has worked for me so far :poosie:

Check out Tapas in Canmore. Voted the most romantic restaurant in the Rockies, food is good too.

^^interesting... i've been there 4 or 5 times, and always had excellent food and excellent service. :dunno: the only negative thing i have with the restaurant is the way your clothes smell when you leave. :(
