I've been toying with the idea of getting a vintage airstream trailer and found this sweet conversion:

Scroll to the bottom for the Overlander 1967 that I am talking about. It's priced more than I would pay but it's nicer than a lot of the 5th wheels I've seen out there.

yeah, a lot of people are doing these renos to the airstream. Problem is, people know what they have and are usually pretty reluctant to sell them. Even in bad shape, people demand a pretty penny for them, which more often than not, price them out of range for a big reno.

that, and these trailers were unusually heavy compared to other trailers of the same length.

Airstream trailers are officially "cool" now, and as such, are very expensive for for you get.

I think they look neat, but I'm not rushing out to buy one.

I think Airstreams have always had a cool factor about them and have always maintained their value better than other travel trailers.
