Same. The split window would be annoying as hell tho, but since it's only made for 1 year, the rarity is worth it.

This is my 2nd favorite vette. My favorite? The Dirk Diggler!

Alot of people cut out the center bar and made it a one piece. I think the split looks awesome.

I doubt anyone would cut up such a rare car lol.

They made the split window in '63. For '64, they got rid of it. The legend goes, the designer refused to listen to his team and said it had to come with a split window. When the car was released, he sat in it and hated it, admitted he was wrong, and '64 models got a single piece window. That's what makes the '63s so rare.

The splint window vette is my dad's all time favorite car.
I should hurry up and win a lottery and buy him one.

Not nowadays, but back in the 60's and 70's the swapped the rear window with a 64. to do that today you would be crazy.

I wonder how much these would go for in mint condition through the barret jackson. I love the split window look, but it would be so annoying using your rear view mirror haha.

My neighbor had a 1963 coupe in silver blue with white interior, 4 speed, and the rare fuel injection option. I think there were only around 200 made with these options.

He picked it up in 2001 for a steal of a deal, and had a surreal story behind the purchase, one of those you get in an email from one of those annoying contacts.

He was the kind of guy that would flip cars all the time, always buying and selling old muscle cars. One day I was looking at the newspaper classifieds for him when under the classics section I saw an add for a 1963 chevy sports car for $13,000 and showed him the ad. The ad had no other details so he enquired. He called the number and an old woman answered. She said her husband had died around 5 years or so ago. He had bought the car new from the dealer and rarely drove it because it was very finiky etc. and it sat for the last 15 year in the garage under a cover. She said it had about 34,000 original miles on it. She called the Don Wheaton Chev dealership before listing the car and asked them how much a 1963 chevy sports car is worth the salesman over the phone told her that a 1963 chevy 2 door sports car was worth $13,000.

My neighbor figured it was a 1963 impala or something and if it was in good condition with low miles it would still be worth $13,000.

He went to her house took off the car cover and saw the corvette in mint condition with under $35000miles. there were only 2 flaws, a dead battery and the tires were dry and cracked and had bulges in them from sitting so long.

Since the car was as she put it finiky he offered $12,000 which she readily accepted. He sold it in 2008 for close to 10x what he originally paid. Unfortunately I did not receive a cut for finding him the deal.
