since people are going to ask, how is the tranny and has it ever been replaced, if so, how many km ago and do you have receipts? also, trade my stock headlights for yours??

ran into tranny problems around 8000kms's ago while i was in the states, was getting thrown error codes and ended up getting the transmission rebuilt. hasn't had any issues since. The transmission guy told me that it's much more rare for the 99's to have problems, it could've had more to do with a recent tranny fluid flush. I still have the invoice for it.

anyways, im trying to sell the car altogether, so no parting of anything yet...also u have an 00 TL, the headlight shape and transmission are different (the 2000-2002 had significant tranny probs once they added the 6spd transmission, 99 has a 4 speed.)

^ 2000-2003 have 5 speed transmission not 6 and yes, you are right, those 5 speeds are notorious for failure. I have a 99 TL with same amount of KM and had no problems with tranny. That's a good price for this car. GLWS

as long as the new/overhauled tranny has the oil jet kit installed it should be okay

woops thanks for correcting me. and yea the mechanic mentioned that there were updated parts with the rebuild that should make it last the life of the car.

dandia89: there was an extended warranty for 99-02, IIRC, the 00-02 model extension was longer than the 99.
