1. Make Nachos
2. Add Bacon
3. ??????
4. Profit!

First, let me say, these were not the best nachos I have ever made, and there is lots I could have done to make them better. But with bacon, how can you go wrong??

Ingredients

Salsa
Sour Cream
Cheese
Tomato
Nacho's
Bacon
Lean Ground Beef
Soft Tortilla Shells
Red Pepper

Step 1, buy Bacon

Step 2, Lay down Tortilla shells. I first discovered this at a pub in Victoria. They served the plate of Nachos on a huge soft tortilla shell. This allows you to easily clean your plate by just rolling the shell/shells up afterwards and making tiny tortillas.

Those are more like...

Assistant to the General Manager Nachos.

Were you making those for your grandma? Where are the jalapeno peppers and onions?

Even though I'm half brown, I can't handle spice. Mom never fed me curry as a child!

^^i did notice that. why do you have imported kokanee, natejj?

killer nachos BTW, I give you 5 thumbs up!     (I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the chicken parm thread where you half-assed it and used store-bought sauce LOL... but congrats on these outstanding nachos LOL)

I agree that you need a SHITLOAD of jalapenos on there, though.

Where are the taco chips? Are they in a bowl beside, and you treat the main dish like a dip? Or are the tortillas on the bottom (boss idea) supposed to be them?

I think the tortilla chips are on top of the tortillas.

Haha, Kokanee WAS imported. Girlfriend just got back from the states and she stocked up. 5.99 for a 6 pack of King cans.... unreal. Yes, the tortilla chips are on top of the soft tacos. Now what to add bacon to next....

it would be cool to make a bacon weave, and put it over a bowl or some other thing and bake it in the oven (400 degrees, 10-15 minutes) to get a crispy bacon "shell."

maybe you could make bacon bowls, and serve something in it like chili.

I was also thinking you could use bacon to make taco shells, and then fill them with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. that would be sweet :bigpimp: but it's kinda too similar to the nachos.

fuck good call Guillermo.

That could be a neat party favour, bowls made out of bacon with bacon chilli hahaha. but i'm sure it would leak through and cause a mess

LOL, I honestly thought of the taco shell thing myself, but just googled it now and it appears it's been attempted before. I've got an unopened pack of bacon in the fridge, I would make these this weekend if I wasn't heading out of the country for a week. maybe i'll try making these when I get back.

Instead of using tortilla chips you should have used Old Dutch jalapeno & cheddar chips. Hmmmm
