The Bacon Brothers, Jonathan, Jarrod and Jamie Bacon, are a trio of alleged gangsters, suspected of multiple firearms and drug trafficking charges and implicated in a rash of homicides that have occurred in the Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver area. They are under police protection, and have filed a complaint against the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
In 2004, an attempted murder charge against Jarrod Bacon was stayed after the victim refused to testify at trial. In 2005, police seized more than 700 marijuana plants and various pieces of pot-growing equipment and charged Jarrod and a friend with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Jamie pleaded guilty to robbery in 2007 in connection with a 2005 home invasion where a man was confined in his Abbotsford home and robbed of marijuana plants and growing-operation equipment. He was sentenced to time served.[1]
On April 3, 2009, Jamie Bacon was arrested by the RCMP Emergency response team for his alleged involvement in the October 19, 2007 slayings of the 'Surrey 6' which included two innocent victims: Chris Mohan and Ed Schellenberg at the Balmoral Tower Highrise building in Surrey, BC, Canada.[2] This development occurred after an associate of the Bacon brothers, Dennis Karbovanec, pleaded guilty to his participation in the slayings.
In September 2009, the Integrated Gang Task Force reported that eight associates had been murdered since the public warning by police that those associated with Jon, Jarrod and Jamie Bacon steer clear of the trio or be potentially marked for death by criminals.[3]
While awaiting trial, Jamie Bacon and his co-accused were being held in isolation. B.C. Corrections Service said this measure was for their own protection because other rivals are also in custody awaiting several trials.
In what legal observers said was an unusual request, Jamie Bacon applied to the Supreme Court of British Columbia to end his "solitary confinement" as a violation of his rights under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.[4]
The Court found that James Bacon had been subjected to cruel and unusual treatment while in custody, contrary to section 12 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and that this he had been subjected to such treatment purpose of furthering the police investigation. His conditions of confinement were also found to constitute a deprivation of liberty and security of person that was not in accordance with the principles of fundamental justice, contrary to section 7 of the Charter. During the course of the hearing, it was revealed that Mr. Bacon's privileged telephone calls with his counsel had been unlawfully recorded. This matter remains before the Court. Mr. Bacon was released into the general prison population and the restrictions on his visits and telephone communications removed.[5][6]
In May 2010, the court convicted Jamie Bacon of all 11 charges related to the April 2007 discovery of a gun cache but acquitted the older brother Jarrod of all charges.[7]

THere is no doubt that the biker gang registered their prohibited, illegal automatic firearm after taking the proper steps to import it into the country. The registry will bring quick justice to these criminals.

I should also add this is a victory for the Body Armour law in BC. There is absolutely no need for anyone to have body armour.



6 people, including Bacon, were rushed to Kelowna General Hospital around 3 p.m. Sunday after at least one masked gunman opened fire on a vehicle in the parking lot of the Delta Grand Hotel, which houses the Lake City Casino.

One of the injured men is Larry Amero, a full-patch Hells Angels member from White Rock. As of Sunday evening, Amero was clinging to life, a senior police officer told The Province.

It appears the Hells Angels and a splinter group of Red Scorpions were meeting in the area. Police do not know who the shooter is yet but fear a possible all-out gang retaliation war.

One of two women shot in a brazen gangland attack in Kelowna has been left a quadriplegic, friends told the Sun Tuesday.

The first woman, identified by friends as Lyndsey Black, was reportedly in stable condition in hospital while another, identified as Leah Hadden-Watts, underwent more than seven hours of surgery to have a bullet removed from her neck, an injury that left her a quadriplegic.

“She’s paralyzed from neck down,” a friend said in a message to the Sun.

“Had two vertebrae removed ... she will be able to move her head up and down and side to side and talk but that’s it.

“My heart is broken. She didn’t deserve this. She is an amazing person. This isn’t fair.”

Five people were in a white Porsche Cayenne outside the Grand Hotel in downtown Kelowna — about 600 km west of Calgary — when a gunman sprayed the SUV with a hail of more than 30 bullets from a submachine-gun Sunday afternoon.

Police said Jonathan Bacon, 30, a well-known and notorious member of the Red Scorpions street gang was killed while four other people — two men and two women — were injured, with three remaining in hospital.

The injured man in hospital is widely reported to be Larry Amero, 34, a full-patch member of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang’s White Rock chapter, who is in critical condition.

Police said they believe the second injured man fled on foot and has not been identified, though media reports have said he is a member of the Independent Soldiers street gang.

Retaliatory attacks following such a high profile hit are inevitable, said Supt. Pat Fogarty, in charge of the organized crime branch of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit in B.C.

“It’s significant in the bad guy world,” he said of the attack.

“Coupled with Hells Angel Larry Amero, a popular figure in that world, taking five rounds is also significant.

“That coupled with the location shows a definite, very aggressive action by these people who did it.

“Are we concerned? Absolutely, we’re doing as much as can to generate as much (intelligence) as we can.”

Each of the gangs involved in the Kelowna shooting — the Red Scorpions, Hells Angels and Independent Soldiers — have been known to operate in Calgary, said Staff Sgt. Martin Schiavetta of the Calgary Police Organized Crime Unit, meaning fallout from Bacon’s murder could spill over into Alberta.

“We’ve had similar acts of violence in our city already,” he said, referring to an ongoing and deadly war between the FOB and FOBK street gangs.

“It’s always difficult to predict but the gang members and associates operating in British Columbia are also operating in Alberta and gangs are very mobile and fluid.”

She was in the vehicle with known gang members, her uncle is a gang member. She knew the risk she was taking by riding dirty with these guys. From what i understand that girl was not with the gang, it was another girl that got shot who was with the gang. Ive read pretty much every post in this thread and the majority of the posters have the same message " I DONT LIKE GANGSTERS AND WOULD NEVER ASSOCIATE WITH THEM"... and that is fine, but its pretty interesting to see how many people support gangs and organized crime on a daily basis.. ever smoke weed? Ever buy knock off merchandise? Alot of the trade and supply of these items are controlled by gangs and organized crime. Legitimate business is now a major endeavor for organized crime. Do you question the owner of the gas station or convenience store that you buy your slurpee at?? Every little bit that the general public does continues to support crime and the people that involve themselves in it. I am not here to support crime or violence of any kind but i do find it amusing that people can come on here and make statements about hating crime and gangs but at the same time be a direct or indirect supporter of it. And while there is no way to know where every dollar you spend goes, i can pretty much guarantee that every person on here does or knows someone that smokes weed or does the occasional "party favor". If you dont support gangs, why are you associating yourself with the people that directly support them? The stuff you read in the news is usually the lower end "foot soldiers" that go along with gangs while the individuals higher up never have to be involved with the crimes directly.
