I've seen a few people wondering about tq wrench calibration, so I figured I'd write about my experiences. I've used

http://www.n-tech.ab.ca/Home.page

Fair pricing - $60/wrench, 1week or so turn around time.

I dropped off 2 (huskey (home depot), and Jet) .... surprisingly after 4yrs of use, the Huskey (20 to 100ft-lbs) one was almost 100% perfect still (e.g., 60ft-lbs showed up as 59.8).

The Jet (in-lbs) was a little bit off. E.g., 240in-lbs showed up as 251in-lbs.

So I guess if you follow proper tq wrench maintenance - store in the case, never grab it by the shaft or head, don't drop it, reset it back to its lowest setting when not in use, don't use minimum or maximum values on it too frequently - as long as it isn't a princess auto model it should remain fairly accurate for years to come.

Thanks for the info. I'm buying a used Snap-on TQ wrench and I will send it out right away!
