Question About OOP Inspections

Anyone recently have an OOP done on a manual trans car? The question I have is do they check to see if the car will start if it is in gear? I know some cars will only start in neutral and others only when the clutch is depressed. The last OOP I had done many years ago on an automatic they checked for a working neutral safety switch but I am not sure about a manual trans.

Some cars did not come factory with a clutch safety switch, but if it came with one from the factory it must be in working order for the OOP, this all depends on how fussy the tech is as well.
