Kazaa has tons of pop ups and adds, what about those shitty sound file ones that come on right when you sign on, and then periodicly while its running.

They all suck, but its a small price to pay

it is not the pop up or the program, it is the shit you download that can have the virus :banghead:

MP3s and video files are pretty okay to d/l. Zips and programs are the ones to use caution.

then it is not a Mp3. The mp3 standard has not been hacked yet? (it is only a matter of time) But what is popular is taking a .asf file and renaming to mp3. Cause most people use windows media player(or it is the default player) when you double click the file, it will play in WMP. Since media player plays mp3 , asf etc... it plays the file. the problem with that is an .asf files can contain scripts that can "do shit"

Lesson here is do not use media player but something like winamp that only plays mp3 and then the file just come with a error and you can delete and try again.
