so i stripped my car ready to become a track car for next year and drag, and i found out i had some rust layin around on my drivers side floor, i know people always wanna see DYI's so heres mine on my 1992 honda civic project

that was before any cutting

then cutting

found out underneath it was above the fuel lines so the cutting got very precise lol

and then the final project with just your basic standard sheet metal welded on and an undercoating sprayed over top for rust protection

my father did most of the welding as he has been doing autobody for 27 years now and has been published in magazine for his air brushing work and this only took us 2 hours with the paint drying lol

Looks good man, I'm about to start a similar project. If there is no rust visible from the underside of the car, could there still be some forming on the upper side underneath the carpet?

yep, the factory drain plugs are a bad idea, so i cut the 3 out on the drivers floor, i had no idea until i pulled the carpet out, always a good look to check before you miss it
