View Full Version : Selling custom license plates?
Can you sell your personalized plates in Alberta? I've got a couple that I don't plan on using anymore.
How do you transfer from one registrant to the next?

You can transfer personalized license plates to immediate family once as a gift. That's it. Weird rules.
I *think* you can offer to buy a plate from someone, have them turn it in, and try to register that plate afterwards. I have no idea how long it takes before a plate is available for registration after it's been turned in.

Yup tried that too, she said it would be a gamble as long as no one else wants it then it takes approx 3-4 weeks and I can go back in and register the same plate again :thumbsdow
