Hey guys I am wondering if you can get tested for celiac disease through a medical clinic or if you have to be referred to a gi specialist or Gi clinic before you can undergo that kind of blood test. The reason i am asking is because I have been waiting for months to get into a clinic and I want to get tested now.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get tested without seeing a specialist first?

Thanks

Not sure if you can get the blood test done at a clinic. Is that the alternative to getting them to look down your throat?

If you need gluten free ideas let me know. I've eaten a lot of good foods and can tell you which ones to avoid :barf:

My pops is a GI specialist and he says any family doctor can order up a blood test for you.

How about a colonoscopy?
