(Calgary Sun) Two men had to be taken to hospital after a massive fire broke out at a northeast auto business Sunday.

Flames and smoke could be seen as far as south Calgary from the blaze at Customer First Auto Care at 221 41 Ave. N.E. about 6 p.m. Paramedics treated three people on scene, including two who were taken to hospital in stable, non-life threatening condition, said Sean Kelly, a supervisor with Calgary EMS.

Fire spokesman Brian Mc-Asey said the HAZMAT team had to be called in because there were chemicals on site.

It’s unknown what caused the fire and if any vehicles were damaged.

Hey - that's right beside A1 Alberta Transmission. I hope they burned down at the same time, quite honestly...

Drove by this morning on the way to the shop and A1 was most definitely affected by this fire - second floor windows were all burnt out and lots of damage on the main floor.

They had a fire on the end of that strip 2 years ago as well. It was more suspicious. This seems like negligence.
