Has anybody ever had to make a claim for shipping damage w/ purolator?

I have one for $3k worth (their limit is $5k) and am curious how well this is going to go?

I've gave up on UPS claims after I sent my radiator for repair, it arrived with a forklift punched through the box and radiator, and my claim was denied because I packed it myself and "didn't use enough packing peanuts"

Packing peanuts is serious shit, things are made of Iron when in large groups. :D

Purolator claims are a joke. Fight them tooth and nail. Then kick them when they're down just for making you fight for what is owed to you.

fucking purolator.

Deek. Imma blame you for the forklift holes and lack of peanuts.

Best you can do is just be a pita until they pay out.

As an update I filed my claim (filled out the paperwork and took pictures of the damage), emailed it in, and a month later I got my cheque. No fighting or anything special. Much easier to deal w/ than UPS.

A few years back, I did a Fedex claim for $1,600. Got the cheque in 2 weeks. In case anyone is curious, Fedex left the package at the door without anyone to sign for it, as shown on their tracking system, and it then went missing. I think the buyer was really trying to fuck over me or Fedex, but whatever.
