Are these good enough courses to get into the Elementary School Teacher B.Ed program? The BBA has the same requirements, I'm going to take either one. The programs states that you need English 30-1, Pure Math 30 or Applied Math 30 or a second language (second language for B.Ed). Would these current courses be good enough? This is applying for MRU (Mount Royal University).

Applied Math 30
Biology 30
English 30-1
Social 30-1
World Religions 30 (3 credits in WR and 3 in Sociology)

Oh, thanks for that. It seems the courses I have now are good. I just need an option to add to the four cores I have now. Unless I take Chemistry 30 and Biology 30. Then I won't have to take any cores. Either way I'm good.

Assuming you're applying as a high school student, you need to take at least five grade 12 courses to get admitted anywhere.

But yeah, with math and English 30 you cover all the program requirements for both business and education. Try checking the minimum grades required for those programs.

Your math wont get you into Business as you need pure math 30-1 (I'm currently doing business @MRU), but yeah from what I see, and the type of program your going into you will be fine, my buddy is doing the education program here to and he got in with crap grades lol, like I said gym will get you in, its basically a booster, you have to be overly obese and lazy, or just retarded not to get a high mark in that class.

As for switching your science, I'd say don't bother, bio/chem get pretty in-depth and involve ALOT of memorization take it from me, I took both and hated that shit no wonder I decided to go to business rather than becoming a doctor, the science 30 class just seems alot easier.

You could always just call the advisory at MRU and ask 403-440-6464

It says they take either pure and applied math is fine :dunno:
Either way, making a call is probably the best thing to do.

Yeah, I'll phone them. I'm just seeing if my courses aren't too shitty to get into the programs. I think they're OK. I don't know what I'm going to do about the 5th class thing, though. I'm still in high school, this is my last year (grade 12). I'm just trying to figure everything out and I've narrowed it out to being a Teacher or an Accountant. I wanna go to Mount Royal also. Thanks for the help :D
