Wouldn't the 700 block of Macleod trail serve as a better location for something like this?

i asked him if there was anyway he could do something for the track and he replied "the owner wants out. No one has yet presented an alternative proposal, but @CouncillorKeats is working hard on this." art mckenzie isnt even trying to save the track hes just being a bitch

this is true, however at track events and other things taking place at race city, art mckenzie had expressed a desire to fight for the track against the city. the not caring part is obvious by its given current condition. (me falling through the stands at 190pds etc) but its really just a pile of bullshit so he wouldnt look bad. kinda pisses me off, which side is this guy really on? at this point i could care less. i just hope our next track is completed soon and can actually attract the likes of decent race series with an owner that actually gives two shits about racing.

For what it's worth - what Nenshi said was politics.

Art IS working to save the track. He's helped MARCS and is doing everything he can to keep it going.

It's hard for him to put money into a facility that's been on the chopping block almost every year for the last 6 years or so. I know that he does the minimum on track repairs - but he does do it. He's made every single repair that I've requested - every one.

Of course I've always understood that 'repave the thing' was so outlandishly uinreasonable that I never asked it, really, only an idiot would think that made any sense.

From my perspective, Art's doing a great job in a very difficult environment.

My hats off to Art.

Now - to the BURNOUT! I know that a public display of outlaw behaviour WILL get noticed - and I think that would be fantastic.

I really like the idea of using Bronconier Memorial Raceway - formerly known as MacLeod Trail. It would be an awesome place!
