James Dean crashed a 550 spyder which dissapeared years later, the porsche in the pic is a 356

That Zephyr was so pimp.. I also liked that GT500 fast back.. I wonder what some of those people who bid on the cars do for a living.. Some I bet just buy them and then sell them out of the country or somethin.

Funny thing is...give it like 20 years and our lil "rice rockets" and turboed JDM cars and DSMs will be the cars rolling across that auction block...

No they won't man, sorry there are just TOO many of our type of cars in existence, I was listening to the commentators talk about exactly that and they said ok, the cars can be fast, look cool, but are nowhere near rare...don't mean to burst your bubble :)

Oh dude no bubble burst...I just thought about that while watching HOT ROD TV and the comparison kinda came to mind...But no offense to anyone here...How many of our cars do you really expect to be around in 20 years lets say, with the way new metal rusts and what not...I know a lot fo us are fiberglass and CF and what have you...but I dunno...:dunno:

Alot of the commentators have no idea what the hell theyre talking about. One oft he guys didnt know what a skyline one, and then another guy made a comment saying whats the max black book on an mr2..$2000...which is funny considering that there were less then 100 1995 mr2s brought into northamerica and less then 800 made world wide for that year so they do fetch a large amount of money...thoe idiots are useless

I agree, they are all old farts into muscle cars from the old days. Sure alot of the jap cars and such won't be collectable but there will be a few.

did you guys see when they opened the trunk of one of the cars?

there was a chromed up PPI amp in the trunk and the announcers were like, "what is that!? a subwoofer?" and the other guy said "I dont know, it looks to be one, all i know is from what I can read here... hrmm it says something something 600 watts! must be audio equipment of some kind?"

i just rolled my eyes and shook my head.

hahaha. i have a ppi amp. no idea what is it though. some sort of woofer i would imagine. but you also have to take into account that none of us really know to crazy much about what they know about. like old jag e-types and other such vehicles. i do agree that at least one person on the air should have known what an amp looks like. thats wierd.
